We are excited to offer our new market share program this season, which will be similar to a CSA but not limited to produce and fruit (but both will be included). The link to sign up is located at the bottom of the page, and will be active if there are any market shares available to be sold at this time.

The Details

Each week you will get a reusable market bag (or two) with a sampling of different products from around the market that week. Produce, fruit, bread, baked goods, eggs, and then additional add-on items that you will get to choose we be include each week. Most (hopefully all) items will come from vendors right at the market and give you a chance to sample many of the different amazing things that the market has to offer each and every week. Our goal with this program is to expand our customer base through offering a quick and easy method to get a supply of market products without being able ot attend each week, but our hope is that these market shares will entice you to come to the market and make other purchases from the vendors in addition to your market share.

To start the 2023 season, we will be offering 30 market shares with the possibility of expanding beyond that number as the season goes on if we are certain we can fulfill more orders. 20 market shares will be sold on a first come first serve basis and the remaining 10 shares will be awarded via a lottery if there are more than 30 registrations by the presale deadline. Registrations open Tuesday March 28th at 1:00 pm and will close Thursday March 30th at 11:59pm local time. Anyone who does not get a market share will be placed on a waiting list in the event more market shares become available or people give up their market share.

There are three different levels at which you can join, a single share for $20 weekly, a couple share for $40 weekly, or a family share for $65 weekly. Payments must be made a month in advance and you can get a discount for paying the full fee up front. Payments will be able to be made in person with cash or check, by sending a check in to our market manager, or you can be invoiced so that the market share payment can be made online. A convenience fee (5%) will be added to all transactions made with a credit card. If you fail to make your market share payment for the next month prior to the deadline, your market share will be forfeited and will be offered to the next person on the waiting list as we anticipate selling out of available market shares.

Market shares will be available for pickup from 5pm to 7pm at the market (in a specific location within the market) each week. We will have one or two staff members in that area ready to get you your bag (or bags). Market shares can also be delivered within the local area (map to be uploaded soon) for an additional fee ($10 per week).

If you are unable to pick up your market share for a specific week, you can let us know that ahead of time that someone else will be picking it up, or you may choose to donate it to the food pantry in our neighborhood for that week.

You will be responsbile for returning your previous weeks bags when you pick up your current weeks market share so we are ready to get the next weeks shares set up ahead of time. If you fail to return your market share bags, you will be charged an addition market bag fee to purchase an additional week's supply of bags (which will also become yours at the end of the season)

What will be in your market share? This is a brand new program, so we do not have images of what will be in there (YET) but here is a breakdown of the plan for how the money will be divided:
Produce and Fruit will be alloted 35 to 55% of the funds
Bread will be alloted 10 to 15% of the funds
Baked goods will be alloted 10 to 15% of the funds

Add on items (customers select week to week one month at a time) will take up the remaining funds. These will be a wide range of items that vendors offer up and may differ week to week. Examples include, maple syrup, microgreens, soaps, hard cider (must be over 21), jams, pickles, vendor vouchers, and basically anything else from the market that any vendors wish to offer. Occassionally there may be a special item availabe that is not availabe at the market itself and mah come from a vendor outside the market, but this is not the purpose behind the market share and will be used primarily as a method to show potential vendors the demand that exists for their product in an attempt to attract them to the market as a vendor.
