Cooking Demos and Recipes
Interested in signing your restaurant/nutritional education program up for a cooking demo?
Description: The South Wedge Farmers Market schedules chefs from local restaurants and nutritional education programs to perform cooking demonstrations at the market. These demonstrations often show shoppers how they can turn the ingredients they purchase into healthy and tasty recipes. The recipe is selected by the chef and recipe cards are distributed to the shoppers.

We provide a convection burner, power source, tasting spoons, sampling cups, limited cooking supplies, and $20 of tokens to shop at the vendors for ingredients. In considering schedule demands, the market runs from 4pm-7, we ask the cooking demonstrator to be present from at least 5pm-6.
Benefits: Great promotional and marketing opportunity for your restaurant/organization. We encourage you to pass out menus, cards, brochures, etc. Great community outreach and engagement opportunity with the residents of the South Wedge and surrounding neighborhoods. Free of charge.
